Frequently Asked Questions
What format are these Gen 4 OU teams for?
Gen 4 OU uses Generation 4 rules on Pokémon Showdown. Battles use six Pokémon, with one active at a time, and the Gen 4 OU ban list.
How do I choose a Gen 4 OU team?
Start with a team whose format matches the game you want to play. Check all six Pokémon, the source, and any recorded tournament result or format check. Views and repeated Pokémon show interest in this collection, not a competitive ranking.
How do I copy a Gen 4 OU team into Showdown?
Open a team and use its copy action. In Pokémon Showdown, open Teambuilder, choose Import from text, paste, and save. Select Gen 4 OU before validating the team. Copying does not save it to a Showdown account.
Can I use a team without checking it?
Check it in the selected Showdown format before a battle. Open the team to inspect its latest format-check details when available. A format check tests the rules; it does not predict how well the team will perform.
Where can I find Gen 4 OU sample teams?
This page has no imported sample teams yet. Browse the available teams and inspect their source and format-check details before choosing one.
How do I share my own team?
Copy your export from Showdown and paste it on the crob.at home page. Choose Create unlisted link for a link that anyone can open, or Publish publicly to submit it to Browse Teams.
